NatureHolic – Fan Feed

The biologically valuable complete food NatureHolic – Fan Feed is a finely ground dust food especially for fan shrimp. It contains krill, spirulina, moringa and Dunaliella salina and a special blend of instantly bioavailable organic mineral compounds. It is guaranteed free of fishmeal and other low-quality animal meals.

In nature, the highly specialized fan shrimp live in sections of rivers with strong currents, where they cling to pebbles with their strong spiny legs and collect food floating by with their front legs transformed into fans. Stomach tests on wild fan shrimp have shown that in the wild they eat a diet extremely rich in protein. We take this into account with this feed. The unusually high fat content of 11% in NatureHolic Fanfeed is also adapted to the enormous energy requirements of the current-loving fan shrimp.

The contained proteins come from invertebrates, from microorganisms and from algae. As a result, Fächerfeed contains not only nutritionally beneficial chitin, which assists shrimp in the molting process, but also the molting and growth hormone ecdysone. We use a mixture of brewer’s yeast and brewer’s spent grain , which contains a markedly high proportion of bitter substances, nucleotides (i.e. building blocks of nucleic acids) and the phospholipid lecithin. The algae Spirulina and Dunaliella salina and the foliage of the Moringa tree contribute natural vitamins, minerals and secondary plant compounds, especially carotenoids.

As for our other feeds, we use a special mixture of trace elements and vitamins for Fächerfeed, which – unlike competitive products – contains bioavailable organic mineral compounds that are directly available to the organism. We recommend including our mineral food Mineralfeed twice a week in the feeding schedule of your fan shrimp for targeted mineral supply.

Feeding recommendation: Feed 1-2 times a week as much as the animals absorb in a few minutes.
